International Showdown: Transport United FC Takes on the Governor’s Gold Cup!

Welcome to the 40th edition of the All India Governor’s Gold Cup Football Tournament, where football fever is about to sweep through the scenic city of Gangtok! After a four-year hiatus, this iconic tournament is set to return in full force at the Paljor Stadium from November 8 to 21, 2024. Organized by the Sikkim Football Association (SFA), this year’s event promises exhilarating competition and international exposure, featuring sixteen teams, including four clubs from Malaysia, Dubai, Nepal, and Bhutan.

Join Transport United FC as we compete for glory in this prestigious tournament! The excitement kicks off with the Pre-Qualifying Matches on November 8, where Sikkim Police will face off against Kalighat MS from Kolkata. The competition will continue through November 10, featuring fierce matchups among teams like Army (Red), KWFC from Mizoram, GTA XI from Darjeeling, Gangtok Himalayan SC, Punjab Police, and Chennaiyan FC, all vying for a chance to advance.

As the tournament progresses, the Pre-Quarter Matches will commence on November 10, welcoming powerhouse teams like Gokulam Kerala FC, Northeast United FC, Sudeva FC, and Diamond Harbour FC into the fray. The stakes are high as each team battles for a coveted spot in the quarter-finals.

From November 14 to 17, the excitement will reach new heights as the international teams enter the arena. Transport United FC will proudly represent Bhutan alongside Royal FC from Dubai, KDN FC from Malaysia, and Church Boys Utd from Nepal, all facing off against the quarter-finalists from the earlier rounds.

The intensity will continue with the Semi-Finals on November 18 and 19, culminating in the grand Final on November 21 at 1:30 PM, where the ultimate champion will be crowned.
