Transport United FC Announces New Leadership Appointments

In a heartfelt gathering held yesterday at the Transport United FC Head Office, President Jigme Tshewang announced a series of significant leadership appointments that mark a new chapter in the club’s journey.

The event, attended by close members of the TUFC family, celebrated the official appointment of Yeshi Wangchuk as the new Head Coach of Transport United FC. Alongside this, two key administrative positions were announced: Ugyen T Nadik as the new Vice President of the Club and Kinley Wangmo as the new General Secretary.

The appointment of Ugyen T Nadik as Vice President comes as a deeply meaningful moment for the club. Ugyen has been part of TUFC since day one, contributing in every possible role — as a fan, founder, team manager, advisor, and more. His involvement has gone far beyond official titles; he has been the quiet strength behind many of the club’s milestones. Whether it was on the field, behind the scenes, or in moments when the club needed support the most, Ugyen has always stood by TUFC with humility and devotion.

His dedication spans years of hard work and belief in the club’s vision. This new role as Vice President is a natural continuation of that journey, a recognition of someone who has already given so much, and who continues to be an integral part of TUFC’s identity and growth.

Also stepping into a new leadership role is Kinley Wangmo, who has been appointed as the General Secretary of the club. For the past few years, Kinley has served as the manager of the TUFC Women’s Team, where her contributions have been steady, thoughtful, and impactful. She has played an important role on the administrative side of the club as well, often going above and beyond to ensure smooth operations.

The position of General Secretary has remained vacant for some time, and the club had been searching for someone who truly understood the values and inner workings of TUFC. Kinley has earned that trust through action. Her appointment brings a much-needed focus to the administrative structure of the club and reflects TUFC’s belief in promoting capable individuals from within.

Speaking at the event, President Jigme Tshewang shared his thoughts:

“I have seen and experienced the dedication both Ugyen and Kinley have shown to this club. Their contributions have been sincere, consistent, and meaningful. I’m proud to welcome them into these new roles, and I have full confidence in their ability to lead. Football, like everything else, is evolving — with new strategies, new systems, and new challenges. My hope is that they continue learning, adapting, and growing alongside the club. Their mindset, energy, and love for TUFC will be key to taking us forward.”
