Brave Performance by Our Girls Ends in Goalless Draw Against RTC Women FC
What a performance it was yesterday at Changlimithang Stadium! Our girls completely dominated the match against RTC Women FC, creating chance after chance, showing great control and determination but just couldn’t find that one goal to take all three points. The match ended 0-0, but it was a game full of positives.
The first half was electric. The girls came out strong, creating several good opportunities and putting real pressure on RTC. A huge shoutout to Rupna Chakma for her incredible saves in goal. she kept us level with some brilliant stops and made sure we went into halftime at 0-0.
In the second half, the team turned up the heat even more. They pressed hard, kept the ball in the opponent’s half, and defended like warriors whenever RTC tried to break. The girls showed great teamwork and fighting spirit. Despite all the effort and chances, the goal just wouldn’t come and we had to settle for a point.
A special congratulations to Puja Rana, who was named Player of the Match. so well deserved! She was solid at the back all game, clearing danger, staying calm under pressure, and leading the line with confidence.
We take the point, and now we look ahead to our next match on August 27, where we’ll take on Gelephu Girls Academy at their home ground. We’d love to see all our fans and supporters out there cheering the team on your support makes a huge difference!
