What a fiery start it has been for us as we begin the second leg of the BoB Women’s National League with back-to-back commanding victories. First against the Gelephu Academy Girls U-17 and then over UA Women FC.

The journey started on Sunday, September 14, when the team traveled to Gelephu with one clear mission to bring home all three points. And they did just that, in emphatic fashion. Playing at the Gelephu Academy turf, We came out with intensity and purpose, dominating right from the first whistle. By halftime, the score was already 0-5 in our favor, showcasing a fast-paced attacking display and tight defensive control.

But the girls weren’t done yet. They returned in the second half with the same hunger and added three more goals to seal an impressive 0-8 win by full-time. A brilliant team effort was crowned with Krishna Rani Sakar being named Woman of the Match for her outstanding performance, while goalkeeper Rupna Chakma kept yet another clean sheet continuing her phenomenal run between the posts.

Just five days later, on Friday, September 19, Transport United Ladies were back on the pitch, this time against UA Women FC at the UA Artificial Turf. Despite the quick turnaround, the girls showed no signs of fatigue. The first half saw us take a solid 0-3 lead, displaying great tactical awareness, ball control, and calm composure in possession.

In the second half, the team focused on maintaining control of the game, playing with maturity and patience. A final goal sealed the deal, making it a 0-4 victory and marking two clean sheets in a row for our resilient defense. Tshering Choden took home the Woman of the Match honors for her stellar display on the field, and once again, Rupna Chakma walked off with another clean sheet to her name.

With two big wins and a boost in confidence, the team now looks ahead to their next challenge, a home fixture against Thimphu City Women FC on Wednesday, September 24. The momentum is building, and the girls are showing they mean business this season.
