A Stunning Win Over BFF Academy & a Goal-Fest at Samtse FC
In a thrilling week of football, our team has delivered back-to-back dominant performances that have not only brought home six points but also sent a clear message to the rest of the league, we’re here to fight, and we’re not backing down.
It all started on Friday, 14th September, at the iconic Changlimithang Stadium, where we faced BFF Academy side on their home turf. The match began with challenges, as we conceded an early goal in the first half, going into the break 1-0 down. But whatever was said during halftime clearly worked because the second half was a different story entirely.
Our boys came out with renewed energy, sharper focus, and incredible teamwork. Leading the charge was none other than Abayomi Fakunle, who stunned fans and opponents alike with a sensational hat-trick. Each goal was a masterpiece filled with finesse, power, and confidence. From trailing 1-0 to sealing a 3-1 comeback victory, the turnaround was nothing short of heroic.
Abayomi’s efforts rightfully earned him the Man of the Match title, but credit must also go to our goalkeeper Tobgay, who pulled off multiple crucial saves to keep us in the game. The win was a testament to our resilience and unity as a squad.
Riding high on that momentum, we traveled to Samtse for an away fixture against Samtse FC on Wednesday, 17th September. And what unfolded at the Samtse Artificial Turf was an absolute goal-fest.
From the first whistle, our boys took control of the game, dominating possession and tearing through the opponent’s defense. By halftime, we were already 5-0 up. But the boys weren’t done yet. They came back in the second half with the same hunger and added four more goals to the tally. Although Samtse FC managed to pull one back, the match ended in a massive 9-1 victory for us.
The spotlight once again was on Abayomi Fakunle, who grabbed his second consecutive hat-trick, and this time he shared the glory with Afeez Olawale, who also netted three of his own. Another standout moment came from Bikash Pradhan, who scored his first goal of the season with a stunning strike from outside the box a moment that had the crowd roaring.
Once again, Abayomi was named Man of the Match, who’s quickly becoming one of the most feared forwards in the league.

With these two massive wins, we now shift our focus to a crucial fixture against Paro FC, set to take place on Wednesday, 24th September at 6:00 PM at Changlimithang Stadium. This game promises to be a real battle, and with the Tigers coming to our turf, it’s going to be a night to remember.
So mark your calendars, bring your energy, and come support the team because it’s our home, our pride, and we’re ready to make it count.
