On June 16th, 2024, we experienced a day filled with a mix of emotions—pride for the future of our departing members and the sadness of saying goodbye. Four invaluable members of our Transport United FC family are embarking on new journeys for the betterment of their careers and lives.

Neelam, our dedicated Goalkeeper Coach, and Tshering, our committed Assistant Coach, are taking on new roles as sports teachers in schools. We are incredibly proud of their transition into shaping young minds through sports. Meanwhile, Ugyen Choden and Karma Dema, two of our outstanding players, are leaving to further their studies. Their pursuit of education is a testament to their dedication and drive.

To honor their contributions and bid them farewell, we organized a special dinner at PADAY BISTRO, a place known for its perfect ambiance and delightful cuisine. It was a fitting venue to celebrate and reminisce.

The entire women’s team gathered to say their goodbyes, creating a warm and emotional atmosphere.

During the dinner, our President shared heartfelt words, expressing immense gratitude:

“I am very thankful and grateful to meet with you all and to see the effort that you all gave, which is immeasurable. I just had a dream, but you all made it come alive. I wish the four of you a better future, and anytime you are around and want to come back to the club, the door is always open for you all.”

Kinley, the Manager of the Women’s Team, also shared an emotional quote:

“We have come this far, leaving our mark as a proud women’s team of Transport United FC. Our journey has shown our resilience and determination. I am sure each one of us is always empowered by the energy and light we have shared together, and we will continue to share. Thank you all for the support and love that have united us as one family.”

Though the event was filled with emotions, the good memories we’ve created together overshadowed the sadness, bringing cheer and happiness to everyone present. It was a time to reflect on our journey, celebrate our achievements, and look forward to the future.

As a token of appreciation, we presented the departing members with the official jersey signed by the entire team. It was a small gesture to show our gratitude and ensure they carry a piece of our family with them wherever they go.

From the depths of our hearts, saying goodbye to these four remarkable women is bittersweet. We are incredibly proud of their new paths and wish them the very best in their future endeavors.
