Transport United FC—Ready to Dominate Again!

Mark your calendars for August 2nd—the most anticipated match of the season is here! The second leg between Transport United FC (TUFC) and Paro FC will be played at Changlimithang Stadium, and we’re ready to host the defending champions on our home turf.

This season’s first leg saw an intense 2:2 draw when TUFC faced Paro FC away. TUFC dominated the first half with early goals, but after losing a player, Paro FC capitalized and evened the score. The drama and excitement were so high that even the home team’s supporters started chanting for TUFC! The support from Thimphu was massive, and our performance was exceptional.

Paro FC is currently leading the points table with a whopping 25 points from 9 games, while TUFC is in third place with 20 points from 10 games. The point gap is significant, but don’t count us out just yet. TUFC is the only team this season to prevent the defending champions from securing a clean sweep of 3 points. On August 2nd, we’re ready to replicate that spirit and energy.

Paro FC won’t take us lightly this time. They know TUFC is a formidable opponent. Expect intense tactical planning and contingency measures from them, but we’re ready. With the addition of Ajayi Martins Kayode in the forward line and Peter Segun in defense, TUFC is now more dynamic than ever.

Head Coach Pema stated, “The game will be very intense, and we are prepared for it. I am confident we can handle the pressure and maintain our composure, especially with the support of our home fans. This game is going to be different.”

Looking at the last two games, our player combinations have improved, and we’re in better form. Dicka Serge, the new man in charge, mentioned, “Yes, the heat of the match will be on, but our boys need to play to win. We can stop our opponent’s unbeaten run.”

Stay tuned for more updates on this epic clash.
