Today, Transport United FC (TUFC) embarks on a journey from Bhutan to Gangtok, Sikkim, to compete in the prestigious 40th All India Governor’s Gold Cup Football Tournament. As the only Bhutanese club to earn a spot in this celebrated event. TUFC stands alongside elite clubs like Royal FC from Dubai, KDN FC from Malaysia, and Nepal’s Church Boys United, all of whom have earned direct entry to the quarterfinals. But our boys will be the ones to watch in this fierce competition.
On November 16, 2024, TUFC will face Gokulam Kerala FC in a high-stakes knockout match at Paljor Stadium. This club from India, known for its strength and recent successes, is a formidable competitor. Gokulam Kerala FC’s most recent game saw them defeat Sikkim Police by a close margin of 4-3 in an intense, nail-biting showdown. A high-scoring and gritty performance, yes, but they won’t find TUFC to be an easy opponent.
